Dr. Eisenach is a Ph.D. microbiologist with 40 years of research experience in Tuberculosis. She is a retired Professor of Pathology and Microbiology from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Presently she is an independent contractor (TB or NOT TB Consulting, LLC) consulting for Uganda-Case Western Reserve University Research Collaboration, Gates Medical Research Institute, Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics, Cultura Inc, LLC/Otsuka TB program, and SmartSpot Quality Proprietary Ltd. She is also a microbiology consultant for the FEND-TB consortium. Her expertise includes lab-based developments of TB diagnostics, molecular epidemiology tools, and biomarkers of TB treatment response; high quality and standardized microbiology support for clinical trials conducted in TB endemic settings; networking and consulting with U.S. and international organizations [academic, public health, institutions – CDC and NIH, stakeholders – TB Alliance, National TB Programs, and Contract Research Organizations] and the pharmaceutical and diagnostic industry.
