Jeffrey A. Tornheim, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as well as a TB clinician at the Baltimore City Health Department. His research explores the application of new diagnostic technologies, including bacterial next-generation sequencing, multiomic host biomarkers, and both individual- and population-level pharmacologic assessments to improved health outcomes for adult and pediatric patients with TB. His active projects include diagnostic and treatment cohort studies deploying individualized dosing for people with TB, including those facing complex drug-resistance.
